Tilapia - Italian Style with Pecans
Tilipa seasoned with Italian herbs and grilled with butter and pecans. It's a simple recipe but quite satisfying, as the fat content from the nuts and the slight amount of butter combines well with the flaky whitefish.

Ingredients
- 1 10-ounce tilapia filet
- 1 tablespoon crushed pecans
- 1 ounce butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings
- White pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon beer
Cooking Directions
- Thaw and set the tilapia filet on a sheet of tinfoil.
- Top with crushed pecans, beer, Italian seasonings, white pepper, and butter.
- Wrap the tilapia filet in the tinfoil and set onto a grill, preheated to medium heat.
- Grill over indirect heat about 25-30 minutes, or until tilapia filet is cooked thoroughly through, flaky white in the middle. If you grill over direct heat, you’ll need less time.
- Serve!
NOTE: We served ours over egg noodles, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a simple spicy wine-butter sauce.
