Seared Salmon with Ginger and White Wine

This is a delicious pizza recipe that you won't find anywhere else! Who'd have thought you could place salmon on pizza! We added in a jalapeno pepper because we LOVE our food spicy, but you can easily substitute in some milder red or green bell pepper, or omit it altogether.

Seared Salmon with Ginger and White Wine

A very quick and easy way to serve salmon. Searing it first seals in the flavor and moisture.

Ingredients

  • 2 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup white cooking wine
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Cooking Directions

  • Heat a sauté pan to high heat and add olive oil.
  • Season salmon fillets with 1 teaspoon ground ginger each.
  • When pan is hot, add salmon fillets and sear each side, about 30 seconds each.
  • Add wine and reduce heat to low, then simmer about 6-8 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and pink. Flip once throughout. Most of the white wine should boil away.
  • Serve!
