Steamed Marinated Crab Legs
Steaming your crab legs with seasoned beer brings some of the beer flavor to your crab, as opposed to using only water. Water works fine for steaming, of course, but beer makes this more unique and flavorful. Try this with different beers. The taste will be different between dark and light beers.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Alaskan king crab legs
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 small white onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 bottle beer of your favorite beer
Cooking Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, add crab legs, olive oil, lemon juice and parsley.
- Stir to coat the crab legs.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
- To a large pot or steamer, add garlic, beer, water and onion.
- Add crab legs to steamer basket and discard marinade.
- Steam crab legs over beer mixture 10 to 15 minutes, or until crab is cooked through.
