Halibut with Sweet Barbeque Sauce
We picked up a large cut of halibut from the grocer last week and cut the fillet into 6 ounces servings, perfect for lunch or a light dinner. The secret to this recipe is the very simple barbeque sauce mixture, which tastes great on fish and is light in the calorie department. It's just a combination of your favorite barbeque sauce, Italian dressing, olive oil and sugar.

Ingredients
- 2 6-ounce halibut steaks, thawed if purchased frozen
- 2 tablespoons barbeque sauce
- 2 tablespoons Italian dressing
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- dash of sugar
- bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Spray oil
Cooking Directions
- Heat a frying pan to medium heat and lightly spray with oil.
- Spray halibut steaks with oil and coat with bread crumbs, salt and pepper. You can also season with any other preferred seasonings. We used Cajun for this meal, but feel free to experiment.
- Add halibut steaks and cook about 5 minutes per side, or until fish is opaque and flaky.
- While fish is cooking combine in a smal mixing bowl the barbeque sauce, Italian dressing, olive oil and sugar. Mix well.
- Set fish on your serving plates, top with your sweet barbeque sauce mixture and serve!
