Grilled Shrimp (or Prawns) Marinated in Red Wine

There are a number of ways to grill the shrimp, either with skewers, tinfoil, or a vegetable basket. Use whatever works best for you. This recipe is great for leftover red wine. It is very low calorie and serves great as an appetizer or a light lunch. The red wine gives the shrimp or prawns a delicious red hue.
Ingredients
- 12-14 Black Tiger Prawns (about 1 pound), peeled and deveined
- 1 large white onion, cut into large chunks
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 cup Italian dressing / marinade
Directions
- To a large mixing bowl add shrimp, onion, red wine and Italian dressing
- Mix well and refrigerate to marinate at least one hour
- Preheat grill to medium heat
- Add onion to grill and grill 5-7 minutes
- Add shrimp and grill 7-10 minutes or until shrimp is thoroughly cooked and pink
- Serve with your favorite glass of wine
