Grilled Pork Chops topped with Crabmeat

Crab meat makes for an outstanding stuffing and topping for grilled meats. Here is a simple crab topping mixture with butter, bread crumbs and seasonings to make your pork chops really stand out. This topping would work equally well on chicken or fish.

Ingredients

  • 4 lean-cut pork chops (1 pound total)
  • 6 ounces crab meat, cooked
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon powder
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat
  2. Brush pork chops with olive oil and sprinkle with a teaspoon of chili powder and black pepper to taste
  3. Grill pork chops 2 minutes and then flip
  4. Cook for another 1-2 minutes or until pork chops are thoroughly cooked through
  5. While pork chops are cooking, combine crab meat, butter 1 teaspoon of chili powder, black pepper to taste and lemon powder
  6. Mix well and heat over low heat until butter melts
  7. Stir in bread crumbs until topping becomes thickened
  8. Remove pork chops from heat
  9. Spoon crab mixture over pork chops
  10. Serve
