Crab Recipes Crab Rangoons Recipe

These are so good! Now you don't have to run to the nearest Chinese food restaurant to have your own crab rangoons. This recipe will help you make them at home anytime you want. Get the fryer ready.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces can crab meat (1 can), drained
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 medium head bok choy, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped snow peas
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 (14 ounce) package won ton wrappers
  • 1 quart oil for frying

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat quart of oil in a large heavy sauce pan (or in your deep fryer) to 375 degrees.
  2. In a separate skillet, heat olive oil and add garlic and onion. Saute 2 minutes.
  3. Add bok choy and pea pods. Cook until bok choy and pea pods begin to grow tender but remain crisp.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine crab, cream cheese, soy sauce and sauteed vegetable mixture. Mix well.
  5. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture onto each won ton wrapper.
  6. Fold wrappers in half to form triangles and seal by pressing ends together.
  7. Fry in small batches in oil until golden brown.
  8. Drain and serve!

Serve these as they are or with your favorite dipping sauce. Serve hot, but let cool slightly so the cream cheese doesn't squirt out all over the place.
