Crab Bisque
Bisques are creamy soups seasoned with various types of meats, and are very popular with crab. This crab bisque recipe should help you get started with experimenting on your own.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pre-cooked crab meat
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Cooking Directions
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over a low heat.
- Stir in flour, salt, white pepper, bouillon, and onion.
- Blend 3/4 cup cream into the mixture.
- Mix in crab meat.
- Increase heat to medium and stir until mixture thickens.
- Blend in remaining cream and wine into the mixture.
- Serve!
